MasterChef Australia is a unique cooking competition testing amateur budding chefs to the limit with a series of tough challenges judged by culinary experts. The contestants will be whittled down through a number of individual and team-based cooking challenges and weekly elimination rounds until a winning MasterChef is crowned. STAR World presents you the master classes on weekdays and elimination tests in weekends. In master classes, judges call back to some of the challenges from the previous week, giving tips on how the dishes could have been improved. The elimination tests feature two challenges, namely the Mystery Box challenge and the Invention Test. Contestants create a dish using same box of ingredients in the Mystery Box challenge while in the Invention Test, a theme is given to the contestants and they are to invent a dish.
